Meenakshi Ammal Trust was founded in the year 1983 as a public charitable and educational trust by Mrs.Meenakshi Ammal, a true philanthropist. The trust institutes awards, scholarships, grants and aids to Indian citizens for study and research in the areas of education, Indian culture and fine arts, and make substantial contribution for the relief of the poor, aged and handicapped.Further Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER) Trust was formed on 14th June 2004.

Ever since the establishment of the trust, it has grown from a humble beginning to the status of Deemed University - Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER) with an impressive complex of educational institutions reputed for its distinguished quality of teaching imparted to hundreds of talented and deserving students by eminent and dedicated teaching faculty.

MAHER 2012 Application Form

The candidates can get the application form in different ways. One can directly purchase the form from the MAHER, Chennai with the cash payment Rs.1000. The nursing and BPT aspirants need to buy another form costing Rs.500/-.

The candidates can also obtain the form through post by sending a requisition letter. They have to attach a self addressed envelop and a demand draft of Rs.1,100/- which is payable at Chennai. The candidates are also given an option to download the form from the official website.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates can fill the form as per the details given in the information booklet. They are asked to read the information given in the brochure and follow the same while filing the form. They have to enter the data in capital letters with pen or pencil. The information entered should be accurate and do not over write on the application form.

Any mistakes in the form can lead to the rejection of application form. You must paste the recent passport size photo on the suggested columns and put down the signature where ever necessary. Make sure that you fill all the desired columns and send the completely filled form to the given address with the needed attachments.

MAHER 2012 Admission Criteria

Merit Based Admission - Common Entrance Test conducted on All India level for MD/MS, MDS, M.Sc(N), MBBS, BDS, B.Sc(N), B.P.T, M.P.T . There is no Distance Mode.

MAHER 2012 Eligibility Criteria

• For MD / MS Programs : MBBS Degree & completion of Internship on or before 31st March, 2012 .
• For MDS Program : BDS Degree and completion of internship on or before 31st march, 2012.
• For MSc Program : 1 year work experience after completion of B.Sc ( N ) Degree.
• For MPT Program : B.P.T Degree and completion of Internship on or before 31st March, 2012.

Note : Selection will be made based on the marks secured in the Common Entrance Test conducted by Meenakshi University.
